Stockton State Park Campground Description
Stockton Campground consist of two loops located by Stockton Lake. Year round camping is permitted with water and showers available April 1st-Oct 31st. Potable water is available by the park office during the off season. There is a small playground located close to the shower house. In addition to the campsites, there are 5 simple but well maintained cabins for lodging. Two of these appear to also be handicap accessible. Check out MO State Parks website for more info on cabin rental. Campsites are spacious and include a firepit and picnic table.
Things To Do at Stockton State Park
Stockton Lake is a 25,000 acre lake known for its exceptional water recreation options. In addition to boating and swimming a rocky beach is located in the park for swimming during the open season. Accessible by driving from the campground and a short walk down to the water it is recommended to wear water shoes as the rocks can be jagged. A full service Marina has fuel, food, camping, fishing and boating supplies. The park also offers several trails for hikers and mountain bikers.
Stockton Camping Summary
We have enjoyed our past and present visits to Stockton Lake State Park. This was our first time visiting in the the very early Spring. Our group unanimously agreed that visiting this campground is best during the warmer months to be able to take part in all Stockton Lake has to offer!

The campsite backs up to the woods, because of the time of our visit in March there was no shade from the bare trees but it appears it would be a shady spot in the warmer months. We also liked campsite 23 for a future visit. A 30 amp, 55 length pad with no side limits. It has a nice lake view with mature trees for shade. The fire pit and picnic table are tucked back behind the campsite.
